GREAT KINDNESS CHALLENGE WEEK: January 26th - 30th, 2026
Dear Hurricane family:
Our school is proudly participating in The Great Kindness Challenge, a week-long emphasis week dedicated to creating a fostering a culture of kindness and compassion in schools and communities worldwide!
All WHMS students, faculty, and staff are enthusiastically invited to dress in school-appropriate spirit wear for the following kindness-themed days:
- Monday, January 26th: "ALOHA KINDNESS”
*** Dress Tropical / Hawaiian / Tourist-Styled! 🌺 🌴
- Tuesday, January 27th: “LET THE KIND ACTS ROLL”
*** Deck out in Mardi Gras spirited attire: Wear purple, green, or gold! 💜💚💛
- Wednesday, January 28th: “STRONG CHARACTER, KIND CHOICES”
*** Dress as your favorite character! 🎭 🎬
- Thursday, January 29th: “KINDNESS NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE”
*** Throwback / Decades dress-up day! 🕺🪩
- Friday, January 30th: “TEAM UP FOR KINDNESS”
*** Wear your favorite sports team shirt or jersey! 🏈 ⚽ 🏀
In addition to our kindness-themed spirit days, students will have opportunities throughout the week to participate in a variety of activities, fun challenges, and call-to-actions designed to spread positivity, strengthen connections, and celebrate kindness in action across our school campus. 💚🤍🧡 One featured challenge—distributed to all students on Monday—will be the “GKC KIND ACTS CHALLENGE,” in which students are encouraged to complete as many acts of kindness as possible throughout the week using a 50-item checklist of intentional kind acts provided by GKC. ✅ (Students who complete 30 or more acts of kindness will even receive a “Kindness Certified Student” certificate from The Great Kindness Challenge national headquarters!)
**** PLUS! .... students who intentionally participate and successfully complete GKC challenges throughout the week will have chances to be entered into prize drawings—ranging from Apple AirPods to WHMS gear, snack baskets, and more! 🎉
